We believe that research is an essential part of our job to provide the best healthcare to the public. We installed our MEG system in 2004 and have been using this for both clinical medicine and basic research. Our current research topics are as follows.

Research facilities and equipment

We are allowed to use any kind of clinical facilities in our hospital.

MEG scanner: a 160 channel Yokogawa-KIT axial gradiometer system (PQ1160C).
PET scanner: Discovery MR750w, General Electric.
MRI scanner: Discovery MI, General Electric.
Electrocorticography is also available.

Location

Hokuto Hospital is one of the main hospitals of Hokuto Social Medical Corporation. It is located in Hokkaido, which is the northernmost island of Japan.
